TicketBAI
Everything TicketBAI requires, handled from your POS
Certified guarantor software
GESIO (Gestión Integral Online S.L.) holds the TicketBAI guarantor software certificate from all three provincial tax authorities for both its products: GESIO ERP and TPV Online.
Automatic submission to your tax authority
Every receipt and invoice is signed and sent automatically to your provincial tax authority: Araba, Bizkaia or Gipuzkoa. You just sell.
TBAI code and QR on every receipt
Receipts and invoices include the mandatory TBAI identification code and QR code, with the layout required by the TicketBAI format.
Signed, tamper-proof records
Every invoice is electronically signed and chained to prevent tampering or deletion, guaranteeing authenticity and traceability.
How it works
Thanks to our experience with e-invoicing integrations, GESIO and TicketBAI are fully compatible. Our distributed architecture keeps paperwork simple: the record of every sale is sent automatically to your provincial tax authority, fully compatible with each one.
We run this integration with SISTELCOIN: we send the files to their TICKETBAIDER system for stamping and control.

What is TicketBAI and who does it affect?
TicketBAI is a project of the Basque Government together with the provincial councils of Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa. It sets technical and legal obligations for individuals and companies with business activity in the Basque Country and for the checkout software they use.
In short, it is a register of electronically signed invoices that prevents tampering or deletion. Each provincial tax authority receives that register under its own deadlines and requirements, and every invoice and receipt must include the TBAI code and a QR code.
Only software recognised by the authorities as TicketBAI guarantor software is valid. GESIO holds that certificate from all three provincial tax authorities for GESIO ERP and TPV Online.

- One-off breaches: up to €2,000 per transaction.
- Repeated breaches: between 20% and 30% of the previous year's turnover, with a minimum of €20,000.
- Tampering with or deleting receipts or invoices: up to €60,000 or 30% of the previous period's turnover.

FAQ
Questions about TicketBAI
What is TicketBAI?
It is the system set up by the Basque Government and the provincial councils of Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa to control invoicing: every receipt or invoice is electronically signed, carries a TBAI code and a QR code, and is sent to the relevant provincial tax authority.
Who does TicketBAI apply to?
Individuals and companies with business activity that pay tax in the Basque Country and issue full or simplified invoices (receipts), and the invoicing software they use. Each provincial tax authority sets its own timetable and groups.
Will any TicketBAI-adapted software do?
No. Only software recognised by the authorities as TicketBAI guarantor software is valid. TPV Online and GESIO ERP hold that certificate from all three provincial tax authorities.
What happens if I don't comply with TicketBAI?
The rules set out penalties depending on severity and company size: from fines per unrecorded transaction to percentages of the previous year's turnover, and higher still if receipts or invoices are tampered with or deleted.
Are TicketBAI and VeriFactu the same?
No. VeriFactu is the Spanish Tax Agency's system for the rest of Spain; in the Basque Country TicketBAI applies. TPV Online complies with both, depending on where you pay tax.
