What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude connect to other applications. With the TPV Online MCP connector, the AI can look up your shop's data to answer your questions.
Can the AI change my prices, stock or invoices?
No. The MCP connector is read-only: the AI reads data to answer you, but cannot create, change or delete anything in your POS.
What do I need to use it?
The TPV Online AI connection pack and a ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Claude (Anthropic) account with its token (access key), which you get from the OpenAI or Anthropic developer platform. The AI account is contracted and paid directly to them. We'll help you set it up.
How much does it cost?
The AI connection pack costs €19/month + VAT, or €190/year + VAT with annual prepayment, and includes the MCP connector. The ChatGPT or Claude service is paid separately.
Does it work with several shops?
Yes. You can ask about a specific shop or compare all your shops and warehouses in the same question.
